There is no doubt that we are much
impressed by the life of “Gora”, after all they have ruled us for quite some
time. With the advent of web2.0 the cultural diffusion is taking place at a
pace higher than ever before. The burger syndrome is a disease which is
rampantly spreading in millennials, those suffering from the syndrome have
adopted a specific mindset after watching seasons, Hollywood movies and other
content.
The patients will try to copy
everything they can without actually calculating the repercussions. For example,
after watching movies like “Hangover” they will get an idea that drugs are cool
and the result is that reports after reports are being published that our youth
at universities and colleges are falling for the menace. The obsession is so
great that they think if “Gora” does it then it must be good. If an artist is
wearing pants low down why should not we?
The problem is that these naïve
beings do not see the other side of the spectrum that there is also an aristocratic
class in west who possess refined etiquettes and are well cultured but very
less do they show such characters on the screen so our Millennials guided by
the tunnel vision try to follow the KOOL lifestyle of thug on the street!
We need to understand that every
region has its distinct culture which should be preserved and owning your
culture should not make you any less civilized, and to understand that we will
have to come out of our inferiority complex.
